moving forward
Aug. 1st, 2006 10:07 pmIt feels like I've got dozens of little counters that I'm trying to keep track of, but i can only move one forward an inch at a time, and i can't let them get too distant from one another or they'll fall off the edge. And these work counters all depend in varying degrees on *other* people to move some of their counters an inch at a time, and the end result is an agonizing mess.
On the personal front, however, I've moved forward both the IUD and the laser eye correction counters. I'm doing an eye evaluation monday, and the IUD insertion thursday. It's so difficult. I call these people up, and I'm like "HI I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY" and they are like "WE CANNOT BE BOTHERED. MAYBE WE WILL CALL YOU IN TWO WEEKS. MAYBE FIVE. KTHXBYE." Argh! I say. I just want to get something *done*. Maybe next week.
