dreamy mc dreamerson
Jun. 4th, 2007 08:47 amI am heels over head for this boy:

I mean, who can resist a boy who wears both a vest *and* glasses?
...
Truly, I am not quite that shallow.
The Secret Lives of People in Love (by Simon Van Booy, above) was perfect reading for a grey rainy day. It's like going through a box of hand-made chocolates that you meant to give to the person you love. Each story is beautifully small, intense, and surprising; the fact that you are consuming it alone is tragic.
I want to trace the hand that captured my imagination by setting words to paper, twine my fingers through his hair, and set my lips to his so that I might taste the world he inhabits. I will, of course, lose the crush as soon as I go on to the next book piled on my dining room table.
I pity his poor students- I imagine that all of his classes are sigh-fests somewhat like the classroom scene in Raiders of The Lost Ark.
---
I spent most of yesterday reading, actually, as I also consumed the latest Jacqueline Carey book. That was more like sitting in bed and eating an entire pizza by oneself- the pizza was good, or I wouldn't have kept taking slices, but I felt vaguely queasy for having eaten it all.
---
Today is the first day of Summer classes. In other random news, I once again have Premier on United. I think it's been about 5 years since I last flew even that much.
