the best laid plans...
Jul. 2nd, 2007 11:09 pmI decided to go to yoga. I'd been delayed past the class I *wanted* to take, so I hopped on the bike so I'd be sure to make the 18:30. That didn't work out so well; they ended up being over booked *and* had to turn people away.
So I wandered down to the rock creek park and set my mat up there.
Today, despite never really being able to do many of these poses before, I managed to do:
crane, side crow, 8-limbed staff pose, and titibasana. I also was almost able to do a full bind in lotus- it's been 8 years since I got that close.
So, I didn't get my class in, and I got nibbled by mosquitos, but all in all I think it was worth it.
After dinner I went to Kramers &mdash I really wish Alain de Botton would stop writing books, because I keep having to buy them. This is a problem.

"Belief in the significance of architecture is premised on the notion that we are, for better or for worse, different people in different places &mdash and on the conviction that is it architecture's task to render vivid to us who we might ideally be."
