squee! squee!
Dec. 5th, 2008 05:41 pmOk, honestly? I am not a squee-ing type of person. But tonight I cannot help myself. U street wasn't the most direct route home, but on a whim I decided to take it on my walk home. As I got to the corner of 17th and U, I looked over and noticed that the Japanese travel agency that cutely advertised Rocket ships to the galaxy and space as merely one of the many available travel options had something new inside. A JAPANESE MARKET.
There, glowing in the window, was an entire shelf of Pocky. I would have gone in anyway, but Men's Pocky (dipped in bitter dark chocolate) was beckoning to me.
Inside the store is a dizzying array of things I want: noodles, tofu, different kinds of pastes, buns, cookies, drinks, teas, seaweed, sauces, crunchy things.
I got a bag full of things to try, and the adorable Japanese gentleman gave me a package of tiny cookie for free.
I can't wait to go back.
