Jan. 12th, 2009 07:04 pmI've been feeling off and headachy ever since xmas. *sigh* However, even that doesn't explain my somewhat surprising ability to injure myself with a mere qtip...
I know, I know, warnings are everywhere. Qtips are dangerous! Very dangerous! And so, at six in the morning one day last week, my hand slipped, and a reasonable amount of air pressure entered my ear, and then I had the dubious pleasure of bleeding out my ear for a day or so.
The internets all assure me that drum ruptures usually heal on their own in a few weeks; I don't have any hearing loss (actually, it got more acute, which just added to the headaches), and I've been dutifully putting some drops of peroxide in the ear every so often to make sure it's all happy. It seems so.
Of course, that meant that when I went to the gay bar I had to wear earplugs. Thank god for etymotics.

Today my off and headachy has been augmented by sore throat and itchy. *sigh*
