in other news....
Jan. 9th, 2014 02:52 pmomg, sometimes I need a giant brick to tell me to just take a goddamned migraine pill. Finally took one last night, and am feeling a zillion times better and have piles more cope than I did yesterday.
The good news from this experiment is multifold: 1) the generic version of zomig works for me. 2) the generic costs $2 per pill vs $40 per pill. 3) unlike imitrex, zomig does not give me a giant front-of-skull headache before fixing both headaches. 4) I no longer feel like a burning ball of hate and rage.
This means that I no longer have to ask myself if I think the headache is $40 (and/or another headache) bad, or if I should wait it out. It also means that even if I don't think my headache is hugely bad but I am snapping and snarling at everyone and everything, I should probably just take a damn pill. Of course, zomig *does* make me incredibly loopy and then sends me to sleep for 6+ hours, so it requires advance planning. I cannot take one and walk or bike or drive anywhere-- I need to be at home. But still. So much better now.
