I went to yoga class tonight. That would be the second class I've been to since August. Unfortunately, I have access to five years of my yoga habits at tranquil space, and there is a definite trend- Every year, I start going in January or February, and every year, sometime between June and September, I stop going. Part of it (a lot of it) is over-familiarity- after four or five months I can't tune out the petty politics of the space. It ceases to be a useful or comforting thing, and I stop going. Last year it was a confluence of events- the disastrous family events of oct and nov, the dramas of the studio, and- ironically- I got sick of running into someone who dropped me because she didn't want anything to interfere with *her* yoga practice. So, instead I let her ruin mine.

Pfeh.

Today, I used Mr. Bento. Mr. Bento is a very fine lunch pail that let me bring noodles, chicken, broth, yogurt and granola and cheese to work, all in their little compartments and all ready for assembling into a tasty meal at the appropriate times.

I love you Mr. Bento, even if I only use you rarely.

Tonight, Nick and I made our chilly way to Coppi's again, where we closed out the evening as the last patrons in the place. After some lovely gnocchi, a nummy spiced apple calzone, and some coffee, I would have been happy enough, but as it happened we stood and talked with the manager of the place for a good 20 minutes as the restaurant wound down around us. Once again re-affirms Coppi's space in my heart as a great neighborhood restaurant. Also, it was where I took Nick for our first date. So there. :p

Must to have more info on your love of Mr. Bento. Looks very cool and I think I might have to get one.
but I would like to know more of how you like it and what sort of things you have piled in it.
Can one bit be hot and the other have cheese cold?

Same here! We started going back last monday and again last night. I'm hoping to keep it going for a whole year this time.

i'm hoping to be gentler with myself in regards to going or not. I figure, it's all part of the process.
